We're all different breeds!
We have a variety of ducks on the farm that help us with fly control in the summer. The best part is: they produce delicious eggs! Currently we only have 9 ducks total, and they only produce a limited number of eggs. Therefore our eggs are only available at some farmer's markets and occasionally they can be found at Chip-In Farm in Bedford or Dave's Fresh Pasta in Somerville. If you've never had a duck egg before you are in for a decadent treat! They are larger and more flavorful than chicken eggs, they have larger yolks and more fat and are great to eat fried or poached, to bake with, or to make homemade pasta with. If you're intrigued, give them a try sometime!
